^ Game Theory: Is Link Dead in Majora's Mask?

--Wolf-Blossom: this is insane.

--Mistress-0f-Dragons: agree

--Mistress-0f-Dragons: thought I would share it would you. But the way they explain it all makes sense

--Wolf-Blossom: it does make sense

--Wolf-Blossom: granted it doesn't follow the historia

--Wolf-Blossom: cuz it does say in the historia that termina is a parallel universe and that in twilight princess, the hero's shade is the hero of time

--Wolf-Blossom: as an adult

--Wolf-Blossom: unless that followed the adult timeline cuz ocarina of time DOES split into two time lines

--Wolf-Blossom: ohhh man... Zelda mind fuck

Wolf-Blossom: oh

Wolf-Blossom: never mind

Wolf-Blossom: the theory DOES

Wolf-Blossom: tackle that too

Wolf-Blossom: O_O

Wolf-Blossom: wow…

Mistress-0f-Dragons: yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup

Wolf-Blossom: this

Wolf-Blossom: makes

Wolf-Blossom: so much sense... holy wow

Mistress-0f-Dragons: ikr?!

Wolf-Blossom: link dies in a forest, thus turning into a stalfos

Wolf-Blossom: sees himself falling down a tree and then works his way up to acceptance. Which explains why there's no direct game after MM

Wolf-Blossom: cuz there was no more link

Mistress-0f-Dragons: not just any forest. The lost woods

Wolf-Blossom: WHICH MAKES SENSE IN WIND WAKER O____________________________O

Wolf-Blossom: cuz in wind waker they "prayed for the hero to return. But he didn't"

Wolf-Blossom: .....

Mistress-0f-Dragons: yes and remember this too: no kokiri appear in any of the games besides oot

Wolf-Blossom: yes.

Mistress-0f-Dragons: cause they are allllll dead

Mistress-0f-Dragons: mass suicide

Wolf-Blossom: .... EHHH?!

Mistress-0f-Dragons: they left the forest

Mistress-0f-Dragons: at the end of oot you see them celebrating, but notice the background. That’s hyrule field

Wolf-Blossom: ........................

Wolf-Blossom: and kokiri can’t live outside the forest

Mistress-0f-Dragons: no they cant. They are immortal thanks to the protection of the deku tree/sprout

Wolf-Blossom: woooww

Mistress-0f-Dragons: but the deku tree tells them if they are to ever leave the forest they will die

Mistress-0f-Dragons: when I asked my friend that told me this why they would leave when they knew they would die he replied: "because they didn't have to fear ganondorf anymore"

Wolf-Blossom: but mass suicide? So they were all wiped out?

Mistress-0f-Dragons: yeah. But get this....

Mistress-0f-Dragons: I believe he said that it was either in oracles or seasons....

Mistress-0f-Dragons: (or one of the games I have to ask him again)

Mistress-0f-Dragons: but you come upon this large tree and you find forest people there

Mistress-0f-Dragons: said to be the last of the kokiri people

Wolf-Blossom: ... wow

Mistress-0f-Dragons: but I’m like waaaait a min.... you said they all died

Wolf-Blossom: omg the moon crashing terrible fate thing

Wolf-Blossom: makes sense O_O

Mistress-0f-Dragons: yuuuuuup

Mistress-0f-Dragons: my mind was continually blown by what he said to me

Wolf-Blossom: but like... thinking now, it does make so much sense

Wolf-Blossom: why couldn't the hero pass down his knowledge?

Wolf-Blossom: why wasn't the hero there to save the world like said in the wind waker

Wolf-Blossom: and how come after ocarina of time

Mistress-0f-Dragons: the way the hero died is unknown

Wolf-Blossom: where there no more kokiri? There were koroks and other... things

Wolf-Blossom: exactly!!

Wolf-Blossom: when they needed him the most, he wasn't there

Wolf-Blossom: bitchass died in the lost woods

Wolf-Blossom: and became a stalfos -___-

Mistress-0f-Dragons: we don't know why the kokiri committed mass suicide

Mistress-0f-Dragons: so see? There are spots in the hyrule historia timeline that still need to be filled in

Mistress-0f-Dragons: he also said that at the end of oot when you met Zelda and she asked for the ocarina back that in a sense she never did send him back in time

Mistress-0f-Dragons: so see? Another twist

Wolf-Blossom: right... but at the VERY end you see link running up to her in the courtyard

Mistress-0f-Dragons: yeah..... But then this all goes back to his death

Mistress-0f-Dragons: why does he appear as a child in mm but an adult stafos in tp?

Mistress-0f-Dragons: saying that he was never able to pass on his teachings

Mistress-0f-Dragons: why would a child worry about passing on his teachings?

Wolf-Blossom: right...

Mistress-0f-Dragons: and why would the hero get lost and die in the lost woods when he clearly knew how to transverse it to get to the forest temple

Wolf-Blossom: right...

Wolf-Blossom: so wait... now I’m confused

Wolf-Blossom: he has two timelines

Wolf-Blossom: adult and young... so if he dies when he’s young

Wolf-Blossom: then...

Wolf-Blossom: but at the end Zelda says "regain your lost time"

Wolf-Blossom: meaning she sent him back

Mistress-0f-Dragons: yuuup.

Mistress-0f-Dragons: but again why does he appear as an adult stalfos and regret that he can’t pass on his skills?

Mistress-0f-Dragons: my friend was also saying that in loz: seasons the hero spirit is not there. But in loz: oracles the hero spirit is coming back

Mistress-0f-Dragons: or something like that

Mistress-0f-Dragons: the fates won't allow the hero's soul ever to rest. He is the hero of time after all

Wolf-Blossom: that is true

Wolf-Blossom: so is it possible that

Wolf-Blossom: young link

Wolf-Blossom: in ocarina of time, after being sent BACK in time

Wolf-Blossom: knew his skills

Wolf-Blossom: thus searching for navi

Wolf-Blossom: dying

Wolf-Blossom: never growing up

Wolf-Blossom: and never being able to pass on the skills he knew he had?

Wolf-Blossom: cuz remember, according to the hyrule historia, link goes to Zelda to warn her about the future, that’s the scene at the VERY end

Mistress-0f-Dragons: I think you’re onto something there

Wolf-Blossom: so it’s possible he KNEW what he knew, knew everything the hero's shade knew BUT never grew up to pass it on

Mistress-0f-Dragons: but this brings us again to his death in a forest and becoming a stalfos

Wolf-Blossom: he dies in the forest, accepts his death

Wolf-Blossom: but he cannot do the techniques that he did as an adult as a child, right?

Mistress-0f-Dragons: and the only forest that would turn you into that is lost woods

Wolf-Blossom: cuz it’s stated that dying in the lost woods turns you into a stalfos, not a stalchild

Wolf-Blossom: perhaps the stalfos is an image of who link regretted never being able to become?

Mistress-0f-Dragons: I would imagine he can’t. Those are techniques to be used as adult. A child can’t use those skills

Wolf-Blossom: exactly

Wolf-Blossom: those are techniques he couldn’t pass on as a child <-- regret?

Mistress-0f-Dragons: yeah

Wolf-Blossom: so the hero's shade is the essence of who he was/could've been IF he were to pass it on

Mistress-0f-Dragons: but why would he get lost/die in the lost woods?

Wolf-Blossom: the lost woods was maneuverable with saria's song

Wolf-Blossom: to the forest temple

Mistress-0f-Dragons: we know from oot that he knew the way to the forest temple

Wolf-Blossom: the rest of the lost woods were unexplored by link AND he couldn’t use his adult weapons which was used in the forest temple

Wolf-Blossom: link knew only one path through the woods

Wolf-Blossom: and that was to the grove

Wolf-Blossom: I’m just pulling shit out of thin air here

Mistress-0f-Dragons: but whenever you went a different way you would always end back up at the entrance. (But maybe that is just because that was the game)

Mistress-0f-Dragons: well as for the lost woods size, does it say in the hyrule historia how big it is?

Wolf-Blossom: it doesn’t say in the historia how big it is

Wolf-Blossom: all it says that those who were lost became skullchildren/stalfos

Wolf-Blossom: BUT my question is: skull children are lost kokiri's in the woods, right? So why does link become a stalfos and not a child?

Mistress-0f-Dragons: (I’m going to go out on a limb here and say you pulled out your hyrule historia right? lol)

Mistress-0f-Dragons: as for that remember, Link isn’t a true kokiri

Mistress-0f-Dragons: he is a hylian

Mistress-0f-Dragons: hence why he was able to grow up. Maybe that is why he turns into a stalfos and not a skull child

Wolf-Blossom: LMFAO yeah I did pull it out -____-

Wolf-Blossom: that’s true

Wolf-Blossom: perhaps because he’s able to grow up

Wolf-Blossom: he turns into the stalfos

Wolf-Blossom: they never really tell us the stipulation as to who turns into what

Wolf-Blossom: so it’s possible that he does in MM

Wolf-Blossom: but retains his memories (which is mentioned as fact)

Wolf-Blossom: and comes back in TP as the hero's shade

Mistress-0f-Dragons: yeah

Wolf-Blossom: we cracked the code, we deserve a prize

Mistress-0f-Dragons: but then have at this info: Epona

Mistress-0f-Dragons: she appears in mm too

Wolf-Blossom: it could be link's memory to pass on, like they said in the theory

Wolf-Blossom: he sees practically everybody from the 1st game, and it’s ironic that those characters aren't recurring in ANY other Zelda game

Mistress-0f-Dragons: everyone except the kokiri

Wolf-Blossom: but link was under the impression that

Wolf-Blossom: the kokiri couldn’t live outside the forest

Wolf-Blossom: so, according to the historia, link supposedly leaves at the end of ocarina of time

Wolf-Blossom: at that final scene, Zelda sends him off so ganondorf can never find him

Mistress-0f-Dragons: but in mm does like link know he’s dead?

Wolf-Blossom: so if link leaves, he doesn’t know about them partying in ocarina of time

Wolf-Blossom: so he’s still under the assumption they cannot leave

Mistress-0f-Dragons: yeah. She sends him off

Mistress-0f-Dragons: .....

Wolf-Blossom: and I think link is aware towards the end that he is dead... though I don’t understand the oni link mask

Wolf-Blossom: IM CONFUSED NOW @_@

Mistress-0f-Dragons: could that mean Zelda killed him?

Wolf-Blossom: ....................

Wolf-Blossom: we do see the flashback in MM when he first encounters the moon

Wolf-Blossom: o.O

Mistress-0f-Dragons: oni link is cool. You know his hair is white. So maybe it’s something like dark link? Cause dark link has white hair too

Mistress-0f-Dragons: o.o maybe dark link is oni link?

Mistress-0f-Dragons: or vice versa

Mistress-0f-Dragons:  You said: “at that final scene, Zelda sends him off so ganondorf can never find him” Then in mm he’s dead. So did Zelda kill him? If she killed him that means ganondorf could never find him

Wolf-Blossom: ...

Wolf-Blossom: that is SO twisted

Wolf-Blossom: it actually works

Wolf-Blossom: if the triforce of courage

Wolf-Blossom: is dead

Wolf-Blossom: ....

Wolf-Blossom: then ganondorf can never... enter the sacred realm.

Wolf-Blossom: to get the triforce and

Wolf-Blossom: whoa...

Mistress-0f-Dragons: see?

Wolf-Blossom: this is some twisted theory

Wolf-Blossom: that can actually work out

Wolf-Blossom: "In fact, the Fierce Deity bears a partial resemblance to the Dark Interlopers who later became the Twili in Twilight Princess."

Mistress-0f-Dragons: D:

Mistress-0f-Dragons: o.o

Mistress-0f-Dragons: your right!!!!!

Wolf-Blossom: but how does this fit in to any of this conspiracy theory we're creating

Mistress-0f-Dragons: ......

Mistress-0f-Dragons: I have no clue. lol

Wolf-Blossom: LOL

Mistress-0f-Dragons: whats the theory we are creating?

Wolf-Blossom: link's dead in MM

Mistress-0f-Dragons: ah that yes

Wolf-Blossom: LOL

Mistress-0f-Dragons: link knows his way around the lost woods

Mistress-0f-Dragons: so Zelda enters the lost woods and kills link

Mistress-0f-Dragons: hence his child form in mm

Wolf-Blossom: or she could've sent

Wolf-Blossom: the skullkid

Wolf-Blossom: hired one of her goonies to take him down

Mistress-0f-Dragons: ..... I don’t think Impa would kill Link

Mistress-0f-Dragons: shes a sage

Mistress-0f-Dragons: why would a sage kill the hero of time?

Wolf-Blossom: no no I mean Skullkid

Wolf-Blossom: Zelda could've sent Skullkid

Wolf-Blossom: which is why we see skullkid teasing Link in MM

Mistress-0f-Dragons: which would explain skullkid in mm

Wolf-Blossom: yess. so many theoriesss (worry)

Mistress-0f-Dragons: ikr?!?!

Wolf-Blossom: only a game as awesome as Zelda could have conspiracy theories. That doesn't involve him being high on some sort of illegal substance
Please make sure that you look at the youtube link first before reading this. youtu.be/7S1SVkysIRw

So the other day I was hanging out with :iconkazekage-sama91: and her boyfriend showed me this youtube video called "Game Theory: Is Link Dead in Majora's Mask?" and after watching it my mind was blown.

A couple days later I sent the video link to :iconwolf-blossom: and :iconguardianofshadows: (the original founders of :iconboy-without-a-fairy:). Shadow was working on a paper so I only really got Wolfy's opinion. Then for the next hour she and I talked and shared our ideas. And we came up with this little article.

As Shadow said later, "You know things are serious when the Hyrule Historia gets pulled out."

Wolfy is going to be posting this on her account as well.

*Wolf-Blossom and I are interested in what you guys have to say about "Game Theory: Is Link Dead in Majora's Mask?" and the theory we came up with. Let us know in comments okay?
